The VALUE COLLECTION NG05040 is a galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for threaded piping systems in plumbing, mechanical, and industrial applications. Measuring 3/4 inch nominal pipe size and 4 inches in length, it is manufactured to Schedule 40 wall thickness and threaded on both ends per ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards. The hot-dip galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for use in water supply, gas distribution, and general fluid transfer lines. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this fitting to extend or connect threaded pipe runs in both new construction and retrofit work.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems, natural gas and propane distribution piping, steam and compressed air lines, and general industrial fluid handling. The 3/4 inch diameter and 4 inch close-nipple length make it a common fill piece between fittings, valves, and equipment connections. It meets multiple international standards including ASTM A53, ASTM A106, ASTM A733, BS 1387, BS EN 10241, DIN 2440, DIN 2982, DIN 2999, and ISO 7/1, making it appropriate for projects requiring documented material compliance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 3/4 inch NPT threaded piping systems. Compatible with any Schedule 40 threaded fittings, couplings, valves, and equipment ports that accept 3/4 inch NPT connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable local codes, the International Plumbing Code (IPC), or the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) depending on service type. Shut off and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten threaded connections; hand-snug plus a wrench turn is the standard approach to avoid cracking fittings or distorting threads.
