The VALUE COLLECTION NFCD34 is a drop-in concrete anchor designed for flush-mount fastening applications in solid concrete. The anchor is manufactured from Grade 5 steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. It measures 3/4 inch in diameter and 3-3/16 inches overall length, with a minimum embedment depth of 2-1/2 inches. A 1-1/4 inch thread length accommodates standard threaded rod or bolt installations. This type of anchor is installed by licensed contractors, structural tradespeople, and experienced mechanical installers working in concrete construction and equipment mounting applications.
Drop-in concrete anchors of this type are used in residential and commercial construction for anchoring threaded fasteners into poured concrete ceilings, walls, and floors. Typical applications include pipe hangers, HVAC equipment supports, electrical conduit supports, and structural attachment points. The flush-set design makes the NFCD34 well suited for overhead installations where a clean, recessed anchor profile is required. The setting tool for this anchor is the NFCDT34 as specified by the manufacturer.
For use with setting tool NFCDT34. Designed for installation into solid poured concrete as an OEM-style drop-in anchor for threaded rod and bolt fastening applications.
Installation requires drilling a hole to the specified diameter and minimum embedment depth using a carbide-tipped drill bit, then cleaning the hole of dust and debris before inserting the anchor. A proper setting tool must be used to expand the anchor fully against the concrete bore wall — do not attempt to set with makeshift tools. Always verify concrete strength and embedment requirements against applicable load tables and local building codes before installation. Shut down or isolate any adjacent utilities before drilling into concrete slabs or walls.
