The VALUE COLLECTION NFC4025 is a zinc expansion shield anchor designed for anchoring fasteners into concrete, block, and masonry substrates. The anchor accepts a 3/8-16 threaded bolt or rod and requires a minimum embedment depth of 1-3/4 inches to develop full holding strength. The 3/8 inch diameter body is constructed from zinc, offering adequate corrosion resistance for dry interior applications. This type of anchor is commonly installed by contractors, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians when securing equipment, conduit hangers, pipe supports, or structural brackets to concrete or masonry surfaces.
Expansion shield anchors like the NFC4025 are suited for medium-duty fastening applications in residential and light commercial construction. Typical use cases include mounting mechanical equipment bases, strut channel, junction boxes, and similar trade hardware to poured concrete floors, concrete block walls, and brick. The anchor is set by inserting it into a pre-drilled hole and tightening the mating bolt to expand the shield against the hole walls.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use expansion anchor compatible with standard 3/8-16 threaded bolts and rods used in concrete, block, and masonry fastening applications.
Installation is performed using a hammer drill with a carbide-tipped masonry bit sized to match the anchor diameter. Drill the hole to the required depth, clear debris, insert the anchor, then tighten the mating bolt to the substrate manufacturer's torque recommendations. Verify substrate condition and minimum edge distance before setting anchors in concrete or block. Always follow applicable building codes and structural requirements for the load being supported.
