The VALUE COLLECTION NFC38150 is a hammer drive concrete anchor designed for fast, permanent fastening into concrete, block, and masonry substrates. The anchor measures 1/2 inch in diameter and 6 inches in overall length, with a minimum embedment depth of 1-1/2 inches. Constructed from steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance, the NFC38150 features a hex nut head style that accepts standard wrenches for secure seating. This type of anchor is commonly installed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors when securing equipment, conduit hangers, pipe supports, or structural brackets to concrete surfaces.
The NFC38150 hammer drive anchor is suited for light-duty to medium-duty fastening applications in poured concrete, concrete block, and similar hard masonry materials. It is a go-to fastener in commercial and residential construction where a flush or near-flush install is needed and a pre-drilled hole is available. The zinc plating provides adequate protection in dry to mildly humid interior environments, making it appropriate for mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and similar indoor service areas.
Designed as a standard hammer drive concrete anchor suitable for use in poured concrete, concrete block, and hard masonry substrates where a 1/2 inch diameter anchor is specified.
Installation requires drilling a clean, properly sized hole in the concrete using a carbide-tipped masonry bit before driving the anchor. Blow out drill dust and debris from the hole before setting the anchor to ensure full embedment and holding strength. Drive the anchor using a hammer until the hex nut head is seated against the fixture; do not overdrive. Always follow applicable building codes and the authority having jurisdiction for fastener spacing and load requirements.
