The VALUE COLLECTION NFC2012 is a plastic concrete anchor designed for securing fasteners into concrete, masonry, and similar hard substrates. Measuring 5/16 inch in diameter and 2 inches in overall length, this anchor accepts screws sized from No. 14 up to 1/4 inch. It is a sleeve-style insert that expands within a pre-drilled hole when the mating screw is driven, creating a firm hold in the base material. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors commonly use concrete anchors like this when mounting conduit hangers, pipe straps, equipment brackets, and fixture supports to concrete or block walls.
This anchor is suited for light-duty to medium-duty fastening applications in residential and commercial construction. Typical uses include securing junction box brackets, strut channel supports, pipe clamps, and similar hardware to poured concrete, concrete block, and brick surfaces. The plastic construction makes it suitable for indoor installations where corrosion resistance is a consideration and high tensile loads are not required.
Designed for use with No. 14 to 1/4 inch screws. Suitable for installation into concrete, concrete block, and masonry base materials where a 5/16 inch anchor is specified.
Drill a 5/16 inch diameter hole to the required depth using a carbide-tipped masonry bit before installing this anchor. Clear dust and debris from the hole before inserting the anchor flush with the surface. Drive the mating screw into the anchor until snug — do not overtighten, as plastic anchors can strip or crack under excessive torque. Follow applicable building codes and the fastener manufacturer's load ratings for the intended application.
