The Value Collection NFC-KIT223 is a 190-piece zinc plated steel coupling nut assortment covering thread sizes from 1/4-20 up to 3/4-10. Coupling nuts are internally threaded fasteners used to join two threaded rods or extend a threaded connection end-to-end. The zinc plating provides corrosion resistance suitable for general indoor and light industrial use. This kit is stocked by HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors who regularly fasten threaded rod hangers, equipment supports, and pipe strut systems. The assortment spans six thread sizes and eliminates the need to carry individual bulk bins on service trucks or at the shop.
This assortment is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical work where threaded rod coupling is a routine task. Common applications include hanging HVAC equipment, mounting electrical panels and conduit supports, suspending ductwork, and anchoring plumbing pipe hangers. The range of thread sizes included — 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16, 1/2-13, 5/8-11, and 3/4-10 — covers the most frequently encountered rod and bolt sizes in trade work. The kit packages 190 total pieces into a single organized unit, making it practical for stocking a service van or tool crib.
Designed for use with standard unified coarse (UNC) threaded rod and bolts in the 1/4-20 through 3/4-10 size range, consistent with common threaded rod stock used in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical support applications.
Coupling nuts are installed by hand-threading onto compatible male-threaded rod or bolt stock, then tightening with the appropriate wrench or socket. De-energize electrical equipment and shut off mechanical systems before working in areas where fastener installation is required overhead or near live components. Follow applicable building, mechanical, and electrical codes — including NEC and IPC — for hanger spacing, rod sizing, and load ratings when using these fasteners in structural support applications. Do not use zinc plated fasteners in continuously wet, submerged, or highly corrosive environments without confirming suitability for those conditions.
