The VALUE COLLECTION MSPXX02508-050BX is a metric machine screw with a pan head and slotted drive, manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel (A4) with a bright, uncoated finish. Conforming to DIN 85, it features an M2.5x0.45 thread and an 8 mm length measured under the head. Grade 316 stainless steel provides strong corrosion resistance, making this fastener well suited for wet, marine, or chemically exposed environments. This box contains 50 screws. Technicians and tradespeople who need a metric-standard, corrosion-resistant pan head fastener for panel assembly, electrical enclosures, or light mechanical work will find this screw meets DIN dimensional requirements straight out of the box.
These screws are used in applications where a low-profile pan head and slotted drive are required, including mounting terminal blocks, light sheet metal assemblies, enclosure covers, and similar trade-service hardware. The M2.5x0.45 metric thread is common in small electrical panels, instrumentation housings, and HVAC control board enclosures. Grade 316 A4 material is the preferred grade for coastal, marine, and high-humidity service environments where 18-8 stainless would not provide adequate corrosion resistance.
Designed as a DIN 85 metric machine screw for use in M2.5x0.45 threaded holes or with corresponding metric nuts in electrical enclosures, panel assemblies, and light mechanical fabrication applications.
Installation is performed with a flat-blade screwdriver or slotted power driver bit sized for an M2.5 pan head screw. De-energize and lock out any electrical enclosure before driving fasteners near live components, in accordance with NFPA 70E safe work practices. Avoid over-torquing small-diameter metric screws, as M2.5 fasteners have limited torque capacity. Confirm mating thread specifications before installation to ensure full thread engagement.
