The VALUE COLLECTION MSFX03012-050BX is a metric flat head slotted machine screw manufactured from grade 18-8 stainless steel (A2) with a bright, uncoated finish. Conforming to DIN 963, this screw features an M3x0.5 thread size and a 12 mm overall length measured from the top of the head to the tip. The flat head profile allows the fastener to sit flush with or below the surface of the mating material when countersunk correctly. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces per box, these screws are suited for assembly work where corrosion resistance and a clean finished appearance are required.
These screws are commonly used in light mechanical assemblies, electronic enclosures, instrumentation panels, and general fabrication applications where metric fasteners are specified. The M3 thread diameter is a standard size across a wide range of components in both residential and commercial equipment. Technicians and assemblers working with metric hardware in HVAC controls, electrical panels, or precision equipment enclosures will find this size frequently specified on OEM assembly drawings. The stainless steel construction makes these fasteners suitable for mildly corrosive or outdoor-exposed environments.
Designed as a standard DIN 963 metric machine screw for use in any M3x0.5 threaded hole or with an appropriate M3 nut in general mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assemblies.
Installation requires a standard flat-blade screwdriver sized to fit the M3 slotted drive; avoid oversized drivers that can cam out and damage the slot. Countersink the mating material to the correct DIN 963 head angle before driving to achieve a flush seating surface. Do not overtorque M3 fasteners in soft base materials such as aluminum or plastic. Follow applicable assembly specifications or equipment manufacturer torque guidelines when these screws are used in safety-critical or code-governed enclosures.
