The VALUE COLLECTION MSC67703363X is a Size 10 taper pin machined from 303 grade 18-8 stainless steel with a passivated finish. Taper pins provide a precise, removable means of securing hubs, collars, and mechanical assemblies to shafts or through bored components. The passivated stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet or chemically active environments. The small end diameter measures 0.6332 inches and the large end diameter measures 0.706 inches, with an overall length of 3.5 inches. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working on pumps, drives, and rotating equipment will find this pin appropriate for ANSI/ASME B18.8.2 compliant applications.
This taper pin is suited for industrial maintenance, pump assembly, and mechanical drive applications where a positive, self-locking pin connection is required. Its stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for food processing, marine, plumbing, and HVAC environments where moisture or mild chemical exposure is present. The passivated finish enhances the natural corrosion resistance of the 18-8 alloy without adding dimensional variation. It is sold individually and is intended for professional installation in both new construction and service-replacement scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation taper pin for mechanical assemblies requiring a Size 10 ANSI/ASME B18.8.2 compliant stainless steel taper pin connection.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified millwright or maintenance technician using a properly sized taper pin reamer and a pin punch. Always de-energize and lock out the associated equipment before driving or extracting taper pins from rotating components. Use of a reamer matched to the Size 10 taper ensures proper seating and prevents galling of the stainless steel surface. Do not force an oversized pin into an undersized hole, as this can fracture the hub or shaft bore.
