The VALUE COLLECTION MSC-09181934 is a standard flat washer machined to inch-series dimensions from Grade 316 stainless steel with a plain finish. It features a 1/4 inch inside diameter, a 9/16 inch outside diameter, and a thickness of 0.065 inches. Grade 316 stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance compared to Grade 304, making this washer well suited for wet, chemical, or marine environments. The plain finish leaves the base metal exposed, keeping dimensional tolerances tight without added coating buildup. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and general trade contractors use washers of this type to distribute clamp load under fastener heads and nuts on bolted connections.
This washer is intended for use with No. 12 screws in standard inch-series fastener assemblies. Typical applications include pipe hangers, equipment mounting brackets, junction box installations, conduit supports, and general mechanical assemblies where corrosion resistance is a requirement. The 316 alloy is particularly common in coastal installations, chemical process environments, pool and spa equipment, and anywhere chloride exposure is a concern. This washer ships individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces.
Designed for use with No. 12 inch-series screws in standard flat washer applications requiring Grade 316 stainless steel corrosion resistance.
Installation of flat washers requires no special tools beyond those used for the fastener assembly itself. Always verify that the washer inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness match the fastener and joint requirements before assembly. In plumbing or electrical applications, follow applicable IPC, NEC, or local code requirements for fastener material specifications in corrosive or wet locations. Do not mix stainless steel fasteners with dissimilar metals in direct contact without accounting for galvanic corrosion potential.
