The VALUE COLLECTION MS51958-58B is a 10-32 pan head Phillips machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a black oxide finish. The screw measures 3/16 inches in length under the head and is produced to the MS51958 military-specification fastener standard. Designed for use by electricians, HVAC technicians, panel fabricators, and general trade professionals, this fastener delivers corrosion resistance with the added low-reflectivity appearance of a black oxide coating. The 18-8 stainless steel grade provides solid resistance to oxidation in moderate-exposure environments while maintaining sufficient tensile strength for standard panel and equipment assembly applications.
This screw is suited for light-duty fastening tasks in electrical enclosures, control panels, HVAC equipment cabinets, and similar sheet-metal or threaded-insert assemblies where a 10-32 thread form is specified. The pan head profile provides a low-profile bearing surface and is compatible with standard Phillips drive bits. This part is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for shop stock, service vehicle inventory, or production assembly use. No washer is included or integrated into the design.
Designed as a standard 10-32 pan head Phillips machine screw per the MS51958 fastener specification, suitable for use wherever a 10-32 threaded fastener of this head style and length is called out in equipment assembly or field service work.
Installation is performed with a Phillips drive bit sized for a number 10 fastener. Verify that the mating thread or tapped hole conforms to 10-32 UNF before installation to avoid cross-threading. De-energize all equipment and follow applicable lockout/tagout procedures before accessing any electrical enclosure or control cabinet. Do not overtighten into thin sheet metal or soft threaded inserts, as stripping the thread form will compromise the joint.
