The VALUE COLLECTION MS01D78102 is a worm drive gear clamp rated SAE Size 56, designed to secure hoses, tubing, and flexible conduit in plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical installations. The stainless steel band spans a clamping range of 3.071 inches minimum to 4.000 inches maximum diameter, making it suitable for a wide range of pipe and hose outside diameters in that bracket. The 0.5-inch-wide band is formed from Grade 201 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in wet or outdoor service environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of clamp where a reliable, adjustable hose-to-fitting connection is required without welding or permanent fastening.
This clamp is used in residential and light commercial applications wherever flexible hose, coolant line, radiator hose, or duct sleeve must be clamped to a rigid fitting or nipple. Typical installation scenarios include HVAC condensate drain connections, plumbing supply and drain hose terminations, and general-purpose fluid transfer lines where the hose OD falls within the 3.071-inch to 4.000-inch clamping range. The SAE 56 designation identifies the size class per Society of Automotive Engineers hose clamp standards, allowing straightforward cross-referencing when replacing a clamp on an existing assembly.
Designed as a standard SAE 56 worm gear clamp suitable for hoses and flexible tubing with an outside diameter between 3.071 inches and 4.000 inches across plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical applications.
Installation is performed by sliding the clamp over the hose before seating the hose onto the fitting, then positioning the clamp band over the fitting bead and tightening the worm screw with a flat-blade screwdriver or nut driver. Always de-pressurize and drain the line before removing or installing hose clamps on pressurized systems. Do not overtighten to the point of cutting into the hose wall. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for clamping requirements on the specific pipe material and service type.
