The VALUE COLLECTION MPZX04025-050BX is a metric pan head machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel to the A2 grade designation, conforming to DIN 7985. It has an M4x0.7 thread profile and a 25 mm length under head. The pan head profile features an 8 mm head diameter and a 3.25 mm head height. Drive engagement is through a size-2 Pozidriv recess, which provides higher torque transfer than a standard Phillips drive and reduces cam-out under power tools. Supplied in a box of 50, this screw is suited for assembly, panel mounting, and equipment fabrication work where corrosion resistance is required. No washer is included or required by the fastener geometry.
This fastener is used in applications where a low-profile pan head and metric thread are required alongside moderate corrosion resistance. Typical install scenarios include mounting electrical enclosure components, light mechanical assemblies, HVAC cabinet panels, and general trade fabrication work. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the natural stainless surface, making it appropriate for indoor and light outdoor environments where aesthetic consistency and rust resistance matter. The DIN 7985 standard ensures dimensional interchangeability with other compliant hardware across manufacturers.
Designed as a standard DIN 7985 metric pan head machine screw for use wherever an M4x0.7 thread and Pozidriv drive are specified in mechanical or electrical assemblies.
Installation is performed with a size-2 Pozidriv bit; do not substitute a Phillips bit, as the driver geometry differs and will damage the recess. Disengage power or de-energize any electrical assembly before fastening components to panels or enclosures. Verify that mating threads or tapped holes conform to M4x0.7 tolerances before driving to avoid cross-threading. Stainless fasteners should not be over-torqued, as galling can occur; use a calibrated torque tool when fastener joint specifications are defined by the equipment manufacturer.
