The VALUE COLLECTION MPZX04016-050BX is a metric machine screw designed for general-purpose fastening in mechanical, electrical, and light-structural assemblies. It features an M4x0.7 thread and a 16 mm length under head, with a pan head profile that distributes clamping load across a wider bearing surface than a flat or oval head. The Pozidriv drive recess provides improved bit engagement and reduced cam-out compared to a standard Phillips drive. Constructed from 18-8 stainless steel (Grade A2 per DIN 7985), this screw delivers solid corrosion resistance in humid or mildly corrosive environments. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces, making it suitable for production runs and maintenance stocking.
This fastener is used in a wide range of applications including HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, control boxes, plumbing fixtures, and general sheet-metal assemblies. The M4x0.7 metric thread is a standard size found throughout European and metric-spec equipment. The pan head and Pozidriv drive combination is common in consumer electronics, appliance housings, and industrial equipment requiring a low-profile head with positive drive engagement. Licensed trades and assembly technicians working on metric-specification systems will find this a straightforward stock item.
Designed as a general-purpose metric machine screw conforming to DIN 7985, suitable for use in any application requiring an M4x0.7 pan head fastener with a Pozidriv drive.
Use a correctly sized Pozidriv bit — a PZ2 is standard for M4 pan head screws — to avoid stripping the drive recess. Do not substitute a Phillips bit, as the geometry differs and will damage the recess under torque. When fastening into tapped holes in metal panels or enclosures, ensure thread engagement of at least 1.5 times the screw diameter to maintain holding strength. Stainless steel fasteners can be prone to galling in stainless tapped holes; apply an appropriate anti-seize compound if mating material is also stainless steel.
