The VALUE COLLECTION MPZX03020-050BX is an M3x0.5 pan head machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The screw measures 20mm in length under the head and uses a Pozidriv drive recess, which requires a Pozidriv-compatible bit for proper installation. Grade 18-8 (A2) stainless steel provides solid corrosion resistance in general-purpose and mildly corrosive environments. This fastener conforms to DIN 7985 and is sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces. Machinists, assembly technicians, electricians, and HVAC service professionals commonly reach for this size when securing terminal panels, equipment covers, and small component brackets.
This screw is suited for light to medium fastening applications in metric assemblies. Common uses include securing control board housings, electrical enclosure panels, HVAC equipment access covers, and instrumentation brackets where M3 metric thread is specified. The pan head profile distributes clamping load over a wider bearing surface than a flat head, making it a practical choice for thin sheet metal or plastic panels. The bright uncoated finish keeps the fastener dimensionally true without adding plating buildup to the threads.
Designed for use in any metric M3x0.5 threaded assembly requiring a pan head fastener per DIN 7985. Suitable for use in HVAC control panels, electrical enclosures, and equipment housings that call out M3 metric hardware.
Use a Pozidriv-tip screwdriver or bit — do not substitute a standard Phillips driver, as it will not seat fully and may damage the recess. De-energize all electrical equipment and follow applicable NEC or equipment manufacturer lockout procedures before accessing panels or enclosures. Hand-start the screw to confirm thread engagement before applying torque to avoid cross-threading in tapped holes or inserts. When installing into plastic housings, apply moderate, even torque to avoid stripping the receiving threads.
