The VALUE COLLECTION MPFIX0-60087 is a 6-32 flat head Phillips machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel. It measures 7/8 inches in length and features a countersunk flat head profile designed to sit flush with or below the mating surface when installed. The Phillips drive allows for fast installation with standard #2 Phillips drivers. At 0.0045 pounds per fastener, this screw is suited for light-duty mechanical assemblies, panel mounting, electrical enclosures, and general fabrication work where corrosion resistance is a priority. Tradespeople working in wet, coastal, or chemically active environments commonly specify 18-8 stainless hardware for its resistance to rust and oxidation.
This screw is a standard 6-32 unified coarse thread fastener and is applicable across a wide range of light assembly tasks in HVAC, electrical, and general trade work. Typical uses include securing control panels, junction box covers, electrical subplates, light-gauge sheet metal components, and plastic or metal housings where a flush-mounted fastener is required. The flat head countersunk geometry is compatible with standard 82-degree countersunk holes.
Designed as a standard 6-32 flat head machine screw suitable for use in any application requiring a countersunk Phillips-drive fastener in a 6-32 tapped hole or with a matching 6-32 nut.
Install using a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver or power driver bit; avoid over-torquing, which can strip the 18-8 stainless threads or damage the Phillips recess. Ensure the mating material is pre-drilled and countersunk to the appropriate 82-degree angle to achieve a proper flush-seating fit. When used in electrical enclosures or panels, de-energize all circuits before fastener installation per applicable NEC requirements. Stainless fasteners should not be mixed with dissimilar metals in highly conductive or galvanic environments without appropriate isolation.
