The VALUE COLLECTION MP93626 is a 3/8-16 hex lock nut with a nylon insert locking mechanism, manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel. The nylon insert compresses against the bolt thread to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque cycling. At 15/32 inches high with a 9/16-inch width across flats, this fastener is sized for standard UNC thread applications. Right-hand thread direction follows conventional installation practice. It is suited for HVAC, plumbing, pool, and general mechanical assemblies where corrosion resistance and secure thread locking are required.
This nut is used in residential and light commercial applications where stainless steel corrosion resistance is necessary, such as outdoor equipment mounting, pool and spa hardware, and mechanical panels. The nylon insert design provides a prevailing-torque locking action that does not require adhesive or separate locking hardware. Installers across multiple trades use this fastener wherever vibration resistance and resistance to moisture-related loosening are priorities.
Designed as a standard UNC 3/8-16 hex lock nut for use with any 3/8-16 threaded bolt or stud in applications requiring a nylon insert locking nut.
Install and remove with a standard 9/16-inch wrench or socket. Nylon insert lock nuts are single-use by design — the locking torque of the nylon insert degrades with repeated removal and reinstallation, so replacement is recommended each time the nut is fully removed. De-energize and depressurize any system before accessing fasteners on mechanical or electrical assemblies. Follow applicable NEC, IPC, or equipment manufacturer torque guidelines for the specific assembly.
