The VALUE COLLECTION MP50407 is a screw pin anchor shackle built from galvanized steel for use in rigging, lifting, and load-securing applications. The anchor (bow) body profile distributes load across a wider bearing surface compared to a chain shackle, making it well suited for multi-leg sling connections and situations where the load line may shift angle during use. The screw pin closure allows quick installation and removal without tools. Each package contains two shackles. This hardware is installed by riggers, millwrights, marine technicians, and industrial maintenance personnel.
Screw pin anchor shackles are used across a wide range of applications including overhead lifting with wire rope or chain slings, tie-down and lashing on flatbed and marine transport, construction rigging, and general load-securing tasks. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suitable for outdoor, marine-adjacent, and wet industrial environments. The anchor body geometry accommodates loads applied at moderate off-axis angles, making it more forgiving than a chain shackle in dynamic rigging setups.
Designed as a general-purpose screw pin anchor shackle compatible with standard wire rope slings, chain slings, and synthetic slings used in industrial rigging and tie-down applications. Verify working load limit markings on the shackle body before use in any overhead lifting application.
Screw pin shackles should be installed by qualified riggers or maintenance personnel familiar with applicable rigging standards such as ASME B30.26. Always thread the screw pin fully until the shoulder seats and then back off no more than one turn to align the pin hole for mousing if required. Never side-load the pin or apply force to the crown and pin simultaneously in a way that would cause the shackle to roll or twist under load. Inspect threads, body, and pin for deformation or corrosion before each use.
