The VALUE COLLECTION MKCS08C0609MBPKG is a partially threaded M8x1.25 socket cap screw manufactured from grade 12.9 alloy steel and finished with a zinc-blue trivalent chromate coating. Each screw measures 60 mm under the head and accepts a 6 mm hex drive key. The grade 12.9 rating places these fasteners in the highest commonly available strength class for metric socket cap screws, making them suitable for high-load clamping applications. The trivalent chromate finish meets RoHS and REACH compliance requirements. This package contains 25 screws. Machinists, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and field service professionals install these fasteners in mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and equipment frames.
These socket cap screws are used wherever a recessed hex-drive fastener is required in steel or aluminum assemblies. Typical applications include machine frames, motor mounts, hydraulic manifolds, conveyor components, and structural fixtures. The coarse M8x1.25 thread pitch is the standard for M8 fasteners and is compatible with the majority of tapped holes and threaded inserts specified to that pitch in industrial and commercial equipment. The partially threaded shank provides a smooth bearing surface that resists shear loads in close-tolerance bores.
Designed for use in any tapped or threaded insert hole specified as M8x1.25 coarse thread per DIN 912 or ISO 4762. Suitable for steel, aluminum, and cast-iron assemblies requiring a grade 12.9 socket cap fastener.
Installation is performed with a 6 mm hex key or hex bit driver. Always verify that the receiving tapped hole is clean, undamaged, and cut to M8x1.25 coarse thread specification before installation. Apply thread lubricant or thread-locking compound as required by the equipment manufacturer's torque specifications. Power down and de-energize any equipment before accessing fastened assemblies on electrical or mechanical systems.
