The VALUE COLLECTION MDFNS2-250 is a fully insulated male wire disconnect designed for reliable crimp-style electrical connections in control wiring, appliance, and equipment harness applications. The blue nylon insulation sleeve identifies this terminal as compatible with 16 to 14 AWG wire, covering a conductor cross-section of 1.50 to 2.50 square millimeters. The 1/4 inch tab width accepts standard female quick-disconnect receptacles. Brass contact material provides solid conductivity and resistance to corrosion. Installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and appliance service professionals, this disconnect is suited for low-voltage control circuits, fan motor wiring, and similar field-termination tasks.
This terminal is used wherever a removable crimp-style male disconnect is needed in residential or light commercial equipment. Common applications include HVAC control boards, motor leads, appliance harnesses, and panel wiring where quick-disconnect terminations allow components to be serviced or replaced without cutting wire. The fully insulated nylon sleeve protects against incidental contact with adjacent conductors or metal enclosure surfaces during and after installation.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch female quick-disconnect terminals in crimp-style wiring applications accepting 16 to 14 AWG conductors.
Installation is performed by qualified electricians or HVAC technicians using a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for insulated terminals in the 16 to 14 AWG range. Always de-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before terminating or disconnecting wiring. Strip conductors to the correct length per the terminal manufacturer recommendation to ensure full contact engagement. Do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools in place of a proper crimp tool, as improper crimps can result in high-resistance connections or pull-out failures.
