The VALUE COLLECTION MANL010CP is a nylon insert hex lock nut manufactured from 18-8 A2 stainless steel in an uncoated finish. The nylon insert creates a prevailing-torque locking action by deforming slightly around the mating thread, resisting vibration-induced loosening without the need for adhesives or additional locking hardware. This nut is threaded M10 x 1.50 with a right-hand thread direction and conforms to DIN 985. It measures 10.00 millimeters in height with a 17.00-millimeter width across flats. Installed by mechanical contractors, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians wherever a corrosion-resistant, vibration-resistant fastener is required in a stainless-compatible assembly.
This hex lock nut is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical applications where stainless steel fasteners are specified for corrosion resistance — such as equipment mounting, pipe support hardware, fan assemblies, and enclosure fabrication. The 18-8 A2 stainless steel grade is commonly selected for environments with exposure to moisture, mild chemicals, or outdoor conditions. The DIN 985 standard defines dimensional and mechanical requirements, making this nut compatible with standard metric tooling and fastener systems using M10 x 1.50 thread pitch.
Designed for use with M10 x 1.50 metric threaded fastener assemblies requiring a DIN 985 compliant nylon insert hex lock nut in 18-8 A2 stainless steel.
Install using a standard 17-millimeter metric wrench or socket. Power down or de-energize any equipment before accessing fastener locations on live mechanical or electrical assemblies. Do not reuse nylon insert lock nuts after removal, as the nylon insert loses prevailing-torque effectiveness once fully seated and removed. Follow applicable mechanical and structural codes for fastener torque requirements based on application and assembly design.
