The VALUE COLLECTION KP83268 is an extruded tapped hole U nut designed for M10x1.50 screw threads. This metric U nut features a spring-steel-style U-channel body with an extruded tapped hole that accepts an M10 fastener, allowing it to clip onto sheet metal flanges or panel edges without requiring a pre-drilled hex pocket. The zinc-plated finish provides basic corrosion resistance for indoor and light-duty applications. Each nut accommodates material thicknesses from 1.5 millimeters to 5.5 millimeters with a center-to-edge dimension of 28.5 millimeters. Sold in a pack of 25, these nuts are suited for assembly and fabrication work where floating or clip-style fastening is required.
Extruded tapped hole U nuts are commonly used in sheet metal assemblies, electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment panels, and light structural fabrication. The clip-on design allows the nut to be installed before final assembly, sliding onto a panel edge or flange so the mating screw can be driven from the access side. This configuration is typical in production assembly environments and field service applications where access to the back side of a panel is restricted. The metric M10x1.50 thread size suits a broad range of metric-fastened equipment found in commercial and light industrial settings.
Designed as a standard metric M10x1.50 extruded tapped hole U nut suitable for sheet metal panels, equipment enclosures, and fabricated assemblies that fall within the 1.5 millimeter to 5.5 millimeter material thickness range.
Installation is typically performed by assembly technicians or field service mechanics using standard hand tools. Before servicing any live electrical enclosure or energized panel, de-energize the equipment per applicable NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout procedures. Slide the U nut onto the panel flange or edge until it seats at the desired center-to-edge position, then drive the mating M10x1.50 screw from the opposite side. Do not overtorque the fastener beyond the rated capacity of the sheet metal flange, as the clip body can distort.
