The VALUE COLLECTION KP724 is a serrated flange nut designed for use in bolted assemblies where vibration resistance and load distribution are critical. The integrated serrated flange acts as a built-in washer, spreading the clamping load across a wider surface area while the serrations grip the mating surface to resist loosening under dynamic loads. Manufactured from grade 18-8 stainless steel with an uncoated finish, this nut suits applications where corrosion resistance is required without the added cost of coatings or platings. The 1/2-13 UNC thread is one of the most common fastener thread sizes in trade and industrial applications.
This serrated flange nut is suited for mechanical assemblies, structural connections, HVAC equipment mounting, plumbing fixture installations, electrical enclosures, and general industrial fabrication where a standard hex nut with a separate washer is impractical. The 18-8 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor use, particularly in environments exposed to moisture, mild chemicals, or temperature cycling. Each package contains 10 nuts, making it practical for field service kits, maintenance stock, or single-job procurement.
Designed for use with 1/2-13 UNC threaded fasteners in standard inch-measurement assemblies. Suitable as a direct replacement or addition wherever a serrated flange nut of this thread size and flange diameter is specified.
Installation is performed with a standard 3/4-inch wrench or socket, which corresponds to the maximum width across flats of 0.750 inches. Ensure mating threads are clean and free of debris before installation. The serrated face must contact the workpiece directly for the anti-vibration feature to function — do not install an additional washer between the flange and the mating surface. Follow applicable mechanical or structural codes for torque requirements based on joint design and material.
