The VALUE COLLECTION KP36910 is a nylon panel rivet with a ratchet shank, designed for securing panels, trim, and lightweight components in place without threaded fasteners. The ratchet shank design locks into the mating hole on installation, holding the panel firmly without tools beyond a simple push. Made from nylon, this rivet resists corrosion and is electrically non-conductive, making it a practical choice in electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment panels, and automotive-style cabinetry. The hole diameter is 0.31 inches, the head diameter is 0.5625 inches, and the length under head is 0.75 inches. Each package contains 25 rivets.
This panel rivet is used in light-duty panel retention applications across HVAC, electrical, and general equipment assembly. Typical installations include securing access panels, interior trim pieces, and plastic housings where a removable or semi-permanent push-in fastener is preferred over screws. The ratchet shank allows for tool-free or minimal-tool installation, which reduces labor time during assembly or service calls. The black nylon construction blends with dark panel surfaces and adds a clean finished appearance without painting or capping.
Designed as a general-purpose push-in panel rivet for light-duty panel retention in HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and similar assemblies requiring a 0.31 inch mounting hole.
Installation is performed by aligning the rivet shank with the pre-drilled or punched panel hole and pressing firmly until the ratchet shank engages. No special tools are required for standard push-in installation, though a panel rivet tool or punch-down tool may be used in high-volume or hard-to-reach applications. Power down any electrical equipment before servicing panels where these rivets are used. Removal typically requires a small flat tool to depress the shank tabs before pulling the rivet free.
