The VALUE COLLECTION KP26248 is a Type 29 flap disc designed for grinding and blending on angle grinders. It features a zirconia alumina abrasive bonded to fiberglass-backed flaps arranged at a conical angle, which allows the disc to maintain consistent contact on flat and contoured surfaces. The 120 grit rating places this disc in the fine grade range, making it well suited for finishing passes, light material removal, and surface blending after welding or fabrication. The threaded arbor hole accepts standard 5/8-11 spindle fittings common on 4.5-inch angle grinders. Maximum rated speed is 13,300 RPM.
This disc is intended for use on steels and stainless steel in fabrication, welding, and metal finishing applications. The Type 29 conical geometry delivers a larger contact area than a flat Type 27 disc, reducing gouging on surface work and improving consistency on curved or irregular profiles. It is a practical choice for sheet metal shops, pipe fabricators, and maintenance welders who need a fine-finishing disc that mounts quickly to standard threaded grinders.
Designed for use on 4.5-inch angle grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Rated for use on steels and stainless steel.
Mounting and disc changes should be performed by qualified personnel with the grinder unplugged or the power source locked out. Verify the grinder's rated RPM meets or exceeds the disc's 13,300 RPM maximum before mounting. Do not exceed the rated RPM. Inspect the disc for cracks, tears, or missing flaps before each use and discard any disc showing damage. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels.
