The bottoming chamfer allows threads to be cut to the bottom of a blind hole, making it the right choice when full thread depth at the base of a bore is required. At 4 inches overall length, the tap provides adequate reach for most standard hand-tapping setups. Class of fit is 3B with an H4 thread limit.
