The VALUE COLLECTION JY4842415 is a 3/8-40 UNS bottoming hand tap ground from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish. It cuts right-hand internal threads and features a 4-flute straight-flute geometry designed to produce threads close to the bottom of a blind hole. The bottoming chamfer engages the last one to two threads of the tap, making this tool the finishing step in a standard two- or three-tap sequence. Overall length is 2-15/16 inches.
