The VALUE COLLECTION JN9X02200 is a thin-profile metric hex nut machined from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel to DIN 439B standards. It features a right-hand M22 x 2.50 thread with a 6H fit class, providing controlled clearance for consistent engagement on mating fasteners. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the natural corrosion resistance of the A2 stainless steel alloy. At 32 mm across flats and 11 mm in height, this thin-series nut is suited for applications where stack height must be minimized without sacrificing thread integrity. It is sold individually and is appropriate for mechanical assembly, plumbing, and structural fastening work.
This thin hex nut is used in industrial, commercial, and trade applications where a standard-height nut would exceed available clearance. Typical install scenarios include flange assemblies, pipe fittings, equipment mounting, and anywhere a low-profile locking or jam-nut configuration is required. The M22 x 2.50 coarse metric thread is common in European and metric-standard equipment. The 18-8 A2 stainless steel material makes it suitable for wet, corrosive, or outdoor environments where carbon steel hardware would be prone to rust.
Designed for use with M22 x 2.50 metric-threaded fasteners conforming to DIN or ISO metric thread standards. Compatible with any M22 external thread carrying a 2.50 mm pitch and a 6g or 6h tolerance class.
Installation is typically performed by mechanical assemblers, millwrights, plumbers, or equipment technicians using a standard 32 mm open-end or combination wrench. Confirm the mating bolt or stud carries a right-hand M22 x 2.50 thread before installation. When used as a jam nut, torque the primary nut first and then tighten the thin nut against it. Avoid using impact drivers on thin-series nuts, as the reduced height offers less engagement depth than a standard hex nut.
