The VALUE COLLECTION ICR35130D is a solid carbide, uncoated round turning insert designed for use on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Conforming to ANSI insert code RNMA43 and ISO code RNMA120400, this insert features a round shape (code R), a negative side clearance, and a flat-top chip breaker geometry. The inscribed circle measures 0.5000 inches (12.70 mm), the insert thickness is 0.1875 inches, and the hole diameter is 0.2030 inches. At 0.0038 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece insert held in the toolholder via clamp and pin methods. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers and users of this insert.
This insert is suited for turning operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, non-metallic materials, and heat-resistant super alloys, corresponding to primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and S. The RNMA style and C2 material grade make it appropriate for finishing to medium roughing passes depending on the workpiece and cutting parameters. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces, making it practical for toolroom restocking or production setups requiring consistent insert geometry across multiple pockets.
Designed for use in standard round-insert turning toolholders that accept RNMA43-style inserts with a 0.2030-inch hole diameter and clamp or pin retention. Verify toolholder pocket geometry and insert seat dimensions before installation.
This insert is installed and indexed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing inserts, and follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque specifications for the screw or clamp style in use. Inspect the insert seat and clamp mechanism for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts with care as edges are brittle and can chip if dropped or mishandled during installation.
