The VALUE COLLECTION ICP65135K is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Conforming to ANSI code VBMT222 and ISO code VBMT110308, this insert features a 35-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and a 5-degree relief angle. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life across a range of workpiece materials. With a 0.25-inch inscribed circle and a 0.03125-inch corner radius, it is suited for moderate to finish turning passes where dimensional accuracy is required. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert using a screw-holding method into compatible VBMT-style toolholders.
This insert is intended for turning operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including steels and stainless alloys, as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes M and P. It fits residential shop, production machining, and job-shop environments. The TCN55 manufacturer grade and C5 material grade classification place it in a versatile mid-range carbide category appropriate for general-purpose turning at moderate cutting speeds and feeds. One insert is supplied per package, with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine in a full stop, de-energized, and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder specification. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating the insert to ensure full and flat contact. Never run the insert beyond visible wear limits, as a degraded cutting edge increases cutting forces and risks workpiece damage or tool failure.
