The VALUE COLLECTION ICP29200A is a solid carbide turning insert in the RNMG64 configuration, coated with titanium nitride (TiN) for extended wear resistance. Designed for use in CNC and manual lathe applications, this insert features a round (R) insert shape with a 0.75 inch inscribed circle diameter and a 0.25 inch insert thickness. The TCN55 grade designation and TiN coating make it well suited for general-purpose turning of steel and stainless steel workpieces. It is installed and changed out by machinists and tool and die technicians working in production or job shop environments.
This insert is intended for use in negative-rake turning toolholders that accept RNMG-style round inserts. The ANSI insert code RNMG64 corresponds to the ISO designation RNMG190600, giving it broad fitment across tooling systems that reference either standard. Primary workpiece material codes are M (stainless steel) and P (carbon and alloy steel), covering a wide range of common turning applications in both light and moderate stock removal operations. The G chip breaker geometry assists with chip control during these operations.
Compatible with negative-rake turning toolholders designed to accept RNMG-style round inserts with a 0.75 inch inscribed circle and clamp or pin insert holding methods, conforming to ANSI insert code RNMG64 or ISO insert code RNMG190600.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and in a locked-out, tagged-out state per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder pocket and seating surface are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamp hardware for the toolholder to secure the insert without over-tightening. Inspect the insert for chipping or wear at each tool change interval before returning the machine to service.
