The VALUE COLLECTION ICP15510H is a solid carbide turning insert designed for use in CNC and manual lathe operations. Carrying ANSI code CPMT32.51 and ISO code CPMT09T304, this insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and an 11-degree relief angle. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating in manufacturer grade TCN55 improves surface hardness and extends tool life across a range of metalcutting applications. The insert is held in place by a screw-clamp method and is suited for machinists and toolroom operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This insert is appropriate for turning operations on steel and stainless steel workpiece materials, consistent with primary workpiece material codes M and P. The CPMT insert style with positive clearance is commonly used for finishing and semi-finishing passes where controlled chip formation and close tolerances are required. The chip breaker geometry (code T) aids in managing chip flow during continuous cuts. This insert is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit insert for CPMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting ANSI size code 32.51 (ISO size code 09T304) inserts with a 0.1730-inch hole diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw; do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can fracture under excessive clamp load. Verify proper insert orientation and seating in the pocket before resuming cutting operations.
