The VALUE COLLECTION ICC21011C is a solid carbide turning insert designed for single-point turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI insert code TPGH21.51 and ISO code TPGH110204, this insert features a triangular shape with a 60-degree included angle, an 11-degree positive relief angle, and a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) corner radius. The bright, uncoated carbide construction suits applications where a sharp, free-cutting edge is required. Screw-type insert holding secures the insert in compatible TPGH-style toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments will find this insert suited to a range of turning and facing tasks.
This insert is intended for cutting steels and similar ferrous materials, consistent with its P-grade material designation (C5/C6). Its 0.25 inch inscribed circle and 3/32 inch thickness place it in a compact form factor well suited to finish and semi-finish turning passes. The H-style chip breaker geometry assists in chip control during continuous cuts. It fits toolholders accepting TPGH-style inserts with screw clamping. Typical applications include turning shafts, bushings, and similar cylindrical components on production lathes in industrial machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for TPGH-style screw-clamp turning toolholders accepting a 0.25 inch inscribed circle, 3/32 inch thick triangular carbide insert.
Installation is performed by machining professionals following standard CNC lathe or turning-center lockout and toolchange procedures. Power down and zero-energy-state the machine before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or wear before seating a new insert, and verify edge orientation before resuming cuts.
