The VALUE COLLECTION HP-Q104 1/2" is a full port, two-piece manual ball valve designed for shut-off and flow control in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial piping systems. The brass body provides corrosion resistance in water, air, and compatible fluid service. A reinforced PTFE (Teflon) seat delivers a tight seal and smooth quarter-turn operation. The lever handle allows fast open-close actuation without tools, making this valve well-suited for service isolation points in mechanical rooms, equipment connections, and utility lines. Installation is handled by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on low-pressure fluid or gas distribution systems where a 1/2 inch NPT threaded connection is required.
This valve is intended for residential and light commercial applications where a compact, full-bore flow path is needed to minimize pressure drop. The 1/2 inch NPT end connections make it compatible with standard threaded pipe and fittings. Full port design means the internal bore matches the pipe diameter, reducing turbulence and allowing full flow volume through the valve. Typical uses include boiler isolation, chiller loop service valves, domestic water branch shut-offs, compressed air drop lines, and equipment supply connections in hydronic and plumbing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic, and compressed air systems using 1/2 inch NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B31 piping standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing existing valves or making new connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to male NPT threads before assembly and tighten to hand-snug plus a wrench turn, taking care not to overtighten the brass body. Verify valve orientation and confirm the lever handle moves freely through its full quarter-turn travel before returning the system to service.
