The VALUE COLLECTION HNFI2056LH-050BX is a 9/16-18 UNF left-hand thread hex nut manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It measures 7/8 inches across the flats and 31/64 inches in height, making it a standard-profile fastener for applications that require reverse-thread retention. Left-hand thread hex nuts are used where standard right-hand fasteners would loosen under normal rotational forces. This nut is suited for mechanical assemblies, equipment maintenance, and fabrication work performed by millwrights, mechanics, and general tradespeople.
This hex nut is intended for use in mechanical and industrial assemblies where a 9/16-18 UNF left-hand thread specification is required. Typical applications include rotating shafts, fan hubs, pedal assemblies, and other components where counter-rotation would back off a standard right-hand fastener. The uncoated bright finish is appropriate for indoor or dry-environment use where corrosion exposure is minimal.
Designed for use in any mechanical assembly requiring a 9/16-18 UNF left-hand thread hex nut, including rotating-shaft components, fan hubs, and similar counter-rotation fastening applications.
Left-hand thread fasteners tighten in the counter-clockwise direction — confirm thread direction before installation to avoid cross-threading or stripping. Power down or de-energize any associated equipment before servicing fastened assemblies. Use a properly sized 7/8-inch wrench or socket for installation and removal. Apply appropriate torque using a calibrated torque wrench in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's specifications for Grade 2 steel fasteners.
