The VALUE COLLECTION HLW0X0400-100BX is a metric high collar split lock washer manufactured from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, Grade A2, with a bright uncoated finish. Sized for M4 screws, it features an inside diameter ranging from 4.1 to 4.4 millimeters, a maximum outside diameter of 7 millimeters, and a thickness of 1.2 millimeters. The split lock design applies spring tension under the fastener head to resist loosening caused by vibration or thermal cycling. This package contains a minimum order quantity of 100 washers per bag. Licensed tradespeople, maintenance technicians, and assembly professionals working in corrosion-prone or wet environments commonly specify this washer wherever stainless fastener hardware is required.
This washer is suited for metric fastener assemblies in both light industrial and commercial applications where corrosion resistance is a priority. The 18-8 stainless steel construction performs reliably in humid, chemical-exposure, or outdoor environments. Typical install scenarios include mechanical equipment assembly, plumbing fixture mounting, electrical panel work, and general-purpose M4 fastener applications. The hi-collar profile provides additional bearing surface under the fastener head compared to standard-profile split lock washers, making it appropriate where added load distribution is needed on softer substrate materials.
Designed for use with M4 metric screws and bolts in assemblies conforming to the DIN 7980 standard. Suitable for stainless or non-stainless M4 fastener combinations in metric hardware assemblies.
Installation does not require special tooling beyond standard fastener assembly practices. Ensure mating surfaces are clean and free of debris before seating the washer. Do not over-torque M4 fasteners, as excessive clamping force can flatten the split lock profile and reduce locking effectiveness. When working on energized electrical assemblies, follow applicable NEC requirements and de-energize circuits before performing any fastener work.
