The VALUE COLLECTION HC1XX14140-001BX is a metric hex head cap screw manufactured from Grade 316 austenitic stainless steel (A4 grade), offering strong corrosion resistance in demanding environments. The fastener features a partially threaded shank with an M14 x 2.00 mm thread profile and a 140 mm length under head. It conforms to DIN 931, the standard governing partially threaded metric hex bolts. The 22 mm hex drive size accommodates standard open-end, box-end, and socket wrenches. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors commonly use A4 stainless fasteners in wet, coastal, and chemical-exposure installations where carbon steel would corrode.
This screw is suited for structural and mechanical assemblies requiring metric fasteners with controlled thread engagement. The partial threading allows for a smooth shank section useful in applications where shear load transfer or precise clamping is needed. Grade 316 stainless is a common specification for marine hardware, pool and water treatment equipment, food processing machinery, and outdoor or corrosive-environment installations. It is sold individually, making it practical for service repairs and small-quantity replacements.
Designed as a DIN 931 metric hex head cap screw replacement for assemblies specifying an M14 x 2.00 x 140 mm partially threaded fastener in Grade 316 or A4 stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic, pipefitter, or maintenance technician familiar with metric fastener standards. De-energize or depressurize the assembly before removing or installing structural fasteners. Use calibrated torque tooling appropriate for the application and refer to the equipment manufacturer's torque specifications for M14 fasteners. Avoid mixing stainless steel fasteners with dissimilar metals in wet environments to minimize galvanic corrosion risk.
