The VALUE COLLECTION G-S9005 is a 1/2 inch malleable iron 90 degree street elbow designed for use in threaded pipe systems carrying liquid, gas, or steam. This Class 150 galvanized fitting is rated for 300 psi with liquid and gas service and 150 psi in steam applications. The street elbow configuration features one male-threaded end and one female-threaded end, allowing a direct connection to a pipe or fitting without requiring a separate nipple. It is commonly installed by plumbers, pipefitters, and gas-line technicians in tight-space routing where a standard elbow would require additional fittings.

This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial piping installations, including natural gas distribution lines, compressed air runs, water supply systems, and low-pressure steam service. The galvanized finish provides added corrosion resistance in exposed or moderately wet environments. At 1/2 inch, this elbow fits standard NPT-threaded piping of the same size and is a common component in mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and under-floor or in-wall gas and water rough-in work.

Installation Notes

Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service medium before threading the fitting into place. Do not over-tighten, as malleable iron threads can crack under excessive torque.
