The VALUE COLLECTION G-CPL12 is a Class 150 malleable iron pipe coupling designed to join two sections of threaded pipe in plumbing, mechanical, and gas distribution systems. This galvanized coupling carries a 300 psi pressure rating for liquid and gas service and a 150 psi rating for steam service, making it suitable for a broad range of commercial and industrial piping applications. Sized at 1-1/4 inches, it fits standard NPT-threaded pipe of the same nominal diameter. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for both above-ground and protected underground runs.
This coupling is appropriate for residential and light commercial gas piping, hydronic heating distribution lines, compressed air systems, and steam distribution where Class 150 fittings are specified. It conforms to the Class 150 malleable iron fitting standard, which governs wall thickness, thread engagement, and pressure ratings for this fitting family. Contractors working on new construction or retrofit piping runs will find this a standard-duty inline connector for joining pipe sections in straight runs.
Designed as a standard Class 150 malleable iron coupling for use with 1-1/4 inch NPT-threaded pipe in liquid, gas, and steam piping systems rated within the specified pressure limits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local mechanical and plumbing codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements where gas service is involved. Shut off the gas or fluid supply and depressurize the line completely before disassembling or making up any threaded connections. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid before threading the coupling onto the pipe. Do not overtighten threaded joints; make up hand-tight then advance with a pipe wrench to the manufacturer-recommended thread engagement without cross-threading.
