The VALUE COLLECTION G-BUS1002 is a malleable iron threaded pipe bushing used to reduce a 1-inch female fitting to a 1/4-inch male connection in plumbing, HVAC piping, and industrial pipe assemblies. Finished with a galvanized coating for corrosion resistance, this Class 150 bushing is rated for 300 psi on liquid and gas service and 150 psi on steam service. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a concentric pipe size reduction is needed within a threaded iron pipe system. The galvanized finish makes it suitable for both indoor and moderate-exposure applications.

This bushing fits standard NPT threaded iron pipe systems and is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, gas distribution piping, and HVAC hydronic or steam supply lines. Installation Notes

Do not overtighten malleable iron fittings, as excessive torque can crack the casting.
