The VALUE COLLECTION FHS1XX0540-050BX is a metric flat socket cap screw designed for applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastening profile. The 90-degree flat head seats flush with the mating surface when installed in a properly countersunk hole, eliminating protrusion that could interfere with mating components or moving parts. Constructed from 316 austenitic stainless steel to Grade A4, this fastener delivers strong corrosion resistance in wet, marine, and chemically aggressive environments. The hex socket drive accepts a 3.00 mm hex key for installation and removal. Threading is M5x0.8 metric standard, and the fastener is partially threaded along its 40 mm overall length.
This fastener is suited for use in marine hardware assemblies, food-processing equipment, chemical processing fixtures, and any structural or mechanical application where stainless steel corrosion resistance and a low-profile head are required. It conforms to DIN 7991, making it a direct fit wherever that standard is called out in engineering or maintenance documentation. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces, it is appropriate for both production assembly and maintenance-shop stock. Plumbers, millwrights, marine technicians, and general mechanical contractors commonly specify Grade A4 stainless fasteners in corrosive-environment builds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production fastener for any application calling out a DIN 7991 M5x0.8 flat socket cap screw in 316 stainless steel Grade A4.
Installation requires a properly countersunk hole sized for a 90-degree flat head M5 screw; an undersized or incorrectly angled countersink will prevent flush seating and reduce clamp load. Use a calibrated 3.00 mm hex key or bit to drive the fastener and avoid rounding the socket. Power down or de-energize any equipment before performing fastener service on mechanical assemblies. Follow applicable torque specifications from the equipment manufacturer or relevant fastener standards for M5 stainless hardware.
