The VALUE COLLECTION FHS1X2060 is a metric flat socket cap screw designed for applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastener profile. It features a 90-degree flat head with a 12 mm hex socket drive and is manufactured from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel to Grade A2, providing corrosion resistance suitable for general industrial, marine-adjacent, and outdoor environments. The screw carries an M20x2.5 thread size with an overall length of 60 mm and is partially threaded. It conforms to DIN 7991, making it a recognized standard in metric fastener assemblies across mechanical, structural, and equipment fabrication work.
This fastener is used in metric-dimensioned assemblies where a low-profile countersunk head is required to sit flush with or below the mating surface. Typical applications include machine frames, structural brackets, equipment enclosures, and fabricated steel components in industrial and commercial settings. A hex socket drive allows installation in tight clearance areas where a wrench-head fastener would not fit. Partially threaded shanks are preferred when clamping two components together without thread engagement in the upper member.
Designed as a DIN 7991 metric flat socket cap screw for use in M20x2.5 threaded holes or with matching M20x2.5 nuts and inserts in metric fastener assemblies.
Installation should be performed using a calibrated 12 mm hex key or socket driver sized to DIN 7991 specifications. Ensure the mating surface is properly countersunk to the correct 90-degree included angle before driving the fastener. Torque the fastener according to the project or equipment manufacturer's specifications for Grade A2 stainless steel at M20 diameter. Avoid overtightening, as stainless steel fasteners are susceptible to galling; use appropriate anti-seize compound when required by the application.
