The VALUE COLLECTION FDFHD2-250 is a fully insulated female wire disconnect designed for crimp-style electrical connections in low-voltage wiring applications. Fitted with a blue heat-shrink insulation sleeve, this connector accepts 16-14 AWG wire (1.5 to 2.5 sq mm) and mates with a 1/4 inch tab. The brass contact body carries a TiN (titanium nitride) plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. Each package contains 25 connectors. These disconnects are sized and color-coded to standard industry conventions, making them straightforward to identify and install during field wiring tasks.
These female disconnects are suited for residential and light commercial electrical, HVAC control wiring, and equipment harness repairs where a removable, insulated crimp connection is required. Common applications include control board wiring, fan motor lead terminations, thermostat sub-base wiring, and general panel or equipment harnessing where 16-14 AWG conductors are used and a secure, heat-shrink-protected termination is needed.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch male quick-disconnect tabs on control boards, motors, switches, and other electrical components wired with 16-14 AWG conductors.
Installation is performed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and qualified electrical workers. De-energize the circuit fully before terminating or disturbing any wiring. Use a ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated terminals to ensure a complete, gas-tight crimp on the conductor. After crimping, apply heat evenly to the shrink sleeve using a heat gun until the insulation conforms tightly around the wire jacket — do not use an open flame.
