The VALUE COLLECTION FAC0690HS is a high speed steel face angle cutter designed for precision chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations on metallic workpieces. The cutter features a 90-degree included angle and cuts across a width of 3/8 inches. The large diameter measures 3/4 inches and the small diameter measures 5/16 inches, giving machinists a well-defined cutting geometry for consistent angular face cuts. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and Weldon flat allow secure tool holding in standard end mill holders or milling chucks, reducing slippage under cutting load. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance professionals install and operate this cutter on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This face angle cutter is suited for light to medium-duty angular milling work in metalworking shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments. Typical applications include chamfering bolt holes, preparing valve seats, and cutting angular faces on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The uncoated high speed steel construction makes it a practical general-purpose choice where regrinding is preferred over disposable carbide tooling. Overall length is 1-15/16 inches, keeping the tool compact and suitable for setups with limited clearance.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement and production face angle cutter compatible with standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, Weldon-style tool holders, and ER collet chucks used on manual knee mills and CNC vertical machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the Weldon flat against the set screw in the tool holder and torque the holder to the machine spindle per the spindle manufacturer guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Ensure spindle speed and feed rate are set appropriately for the workpiece material and cutter diameter before engaging the cut.
