The VALUE COLLECTION FAC0660HS is a high speed steel face angle cutter designed for precision angle-cutting operations on metal workpieces. With a 60-degree included angle, a 3/4-inch large diameter, and a 5/16-inch small diameter, this cutter produces clean, accurate angled faces on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 17/32-inch width of cut allows controlled material removal in a single pass. The shank measures approximately 0.4724 inches in diameter and features a Weldon flat for secure set-screw retention in standard end mill holders, reducing slippage under load. Overall length is 2-3/32 inches. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this tool in manual mills and CNC machining centers where precise face-angle geometry is required.
This face angle cutter is suited for countersinking, chamfering, and face-angle profiling tasks in job shop, production machining, and maintenance environments. The uncoated high speed steel construction makes it appropriate for general-purpose cutting applications across a range of materials including mild steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics. The compact overall length and standard Weldon flat shank make it compatible with common toolholding systems found on knee mills and vertical machining centers.
Designed as a general-purpose face angle cutter compatible with standard Weldon flat end mill holders and collet chucks accepting an approximately 0.4724-inch shank diameter on manual and CNC vertical milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the cutter. Seat the Weldon flat securely against the set screw in the holder to prevent axial pullout during cutting. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, and use appropriate cutting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material per standard machining references.
