The VALUE COLLECTION EH-40051 is a standard pull out dowel pin designed for precision alignment and locating applications in mechanical assemblies. Manufactured from Grade 8 alloy steel with a bright uncoated finish, this pin measures 1/8 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch in overall length. It meets ASME B18.8.2 standards and delivers a single shear strength of 1,840 pounds and a double shear strength of 3,680 pounds. The end configuration features one beveled end and one rounded end, which aids in insertion and extraction during assembly and disassembly cycles. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working with jigs, fixtures, and precision tooling are the primary installers.
This dowel pin is suited for use in production tooling, machine frames, die sets, and any application requiring repeatable part registration. The pull out style end profile simplifies removal from blind holes without the need for a press, making it a practical choice in maintenance-intensive environments. The Grade 8 alloy steel construction provides the strength and hardness required for high-load industrial fitment scenarios. Each package contains 25 pins, sold with a minimum order quantity of one package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard component for precision alignment applications in mechanical assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling that require 1/8-inch diameter pull out dowel pins conforming to ASME B18.8.2.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist or millwright using appropriate hand tools or a manual extraction tool matched to the pull out end profile. Ensure the mating hole is reamed to the correct tolerance before pressing or driving the pin into position. Always de-energize and lock out the machine before servicing any components that require pin removal or installation. Avoid using an oversized drift or punch that could deform the pin body or damage the bore.
