The VALUE COLLECTION E10-12-IVORY is a partially insulated wire ferrule designed to terminate stranded copper conductors in crimped connections. Compatible with 8 AWG (10 mm2) wire, the ferrule features a tin-plated copper pin that is 0.472 inches long with a 4.5 mm diameter, and an overall length of approximately 0.87 inches (22 mm). The nylon insulation collar is white (ivory) and provides a partial sleeve over the barrel to support the wire entry point. These ferrules are sold in a 100-piece package and are suited for electricians and panel technicians who terminate wiring into din-rail terminal blocks, programmable controllers, or multi-conductor control panels.
Wire ferrules of this type are used in commercial and industrial electrical installations wherever stranded wire must be inserted into a screw-clamp or cage-clamp terminal block. The crimped barrel consolidates individual strands, prevents fraying, and maintains consistent contact force over time. Typical applications include control panel wiring, automation enclosures, HVAC equipment control boards, and any installation where stranded conductors must interface reliably with a terminal strip. The partially insulated collar also helps identify wire gauge during panel assembly and inspection.
Designed for use with 8 AWG stranded copper conductors (10 mm2 cross-section) in crimp-style wire ferrule applications. Suitable for use with standard din-rail screw-clamp and cage-clamp terminal blocks that accept 8 AWG terminations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or re-terminating any conductors. Use a ratcheting ferrule crimping tool sized for 8 AWG or 10 mm2 ferrules to achieve a full, uniform crimp — an incomplete crimp can result in high-resistance connections or strand pullout. Inspect each crimped ferrule before seating it in the terminal block to confirm the barrel is fully closed and the insulation collar is intact.
