The VALUE COLLECTION CT7-1-3/8 is a carbide-tipped hole saw designed for cutting clean, accurate holes in a wide range of materials encountered in trade work. With a 1-3/8 inch saw diameter and a 1 inch cutting depth, it handles typical pipe knockout and conduit entry cuts in sheet metal, plate, and structural materials. The 3/8 inch shank connects to standard drill chucks without an adapter. Carbide tipping extends cutting life compared to bi-metal designs, particularly when working through abrasive or hardened materials.
This hole saw is suited for use by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters who need repeatable, clean-edged holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fiberglass panels, and composite materials. Common applications include conduit knockouts in electrical enclosures, pipe penetrations through structural members, and access holes in HVAC equipment housings. The 1-3/8 inch diameter is a frequently used size for 1 inch nominal pipe or conduit fittings.
Designed for use on aluminum, cast iron, copper, fiberglass, iron, stainless steel, and steel. Fits drills and drill presses with a 3/8 inch chuck or compatible arbor.
Install the hole saw onto a compatible 3/8 inch chuck or arbor before use. De-energize and lock out any electrical panels or equipment before cutting knockouts or penetrations. Use a center punch or pilot drill to prevent walking on smooth metal surfaces. Apply cutting fluid when drilling stainless steel, cast iron, or thick steel stock to reduce heat buildup and extend tip life.
