The VALUE COLLECTION CR-18 is a cartridge roll mandrel designed to hold and drive cartridge rolls during grinding, deburring, and surface finishing operations. It features a 3/16-inch pilot diameter with a 2-inch pilot length, a 1/4-inch shank diameter with a 1-inch shank length, and an overall length of 4 inches. The quick-change design allows operators to swap cartridge rolls rapidly without removing the mandrel from the tool. Machinists, tool and die workers, and metalworking fabricators use this mandrel in die grinders and rotary tools for precision interior finishing work.
The CR-18 is suited for use in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where cartridge roll finishing is performed on bores, ports, and contoured surfaces. The 3/16-inch pilot accommodates standard cartridge rolls of matching bore size. Its quick-change feature is particularly useful in production settings where roll changes need to happen efficiently without extended downtime.
Designed as a standard-style replacement mandrel for use with 3/16-inch bore cartridge rolls in die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank collet.
Installation is performed by metalworking trades and machinists. Ensure the die grinder or rotary tool is fully powered off and disconnected from air or electrical supply before inserting or removing the mandrel. Secure the 1/4-inch shank firmly in the tool collet according to the tool manufacturer's torque or tightening procedure. Always inspect the pilot and shank for wear or damage before mounting a cartridge roll.
