The VALUE COLLECTION CR-16-6 is a cartridge roll mandrel designed to hold and drive cartridge rolls during deburring, blending, and surface finishing operations. The mandrel features a 3/16 inch pilot diameter and 1 inch pilot length, paired with a 1/4 inch shank diameter and 4-1/4 inch shank length for a total overall length of 6 inches. The quick-change design allows fast swap-out of cartridge rolls without removing the shank from the tool holder. Machinists, tool and die workers, and metalworking professionals use this type of mandrel with die grinders or rotary tools for precision abrasive work.
This mandrel is suited for metalworking, fabrication, and finishing applications where cartridge rolls are used to reach into bores, contoured surfaces, and tight geometries. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard die grinder and rotary tool collets commonly found in machine shops, maintenance facilities, and fabrication environments. The quick-change feature reduces downtime when switching between abrasive grits during progressive blending or deburring operations.
Designed as a standard replacement or spare mandrel for use with 3/16 inch bore cartridge rolls in die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch collet.
Installation is performed by metalworking professionals or machinists using standard die grinders or rotary tools. Ensure the tool is powered off and unplugged or the air supply is disconnected before changing mandrels or cartridge rolls. Secure the 1/4 inch shank firmly in the collet to the manufacturer torque specification for the specific tool being used. Inspect the mandrel pilot and cartridge roll bore for wear or damage before each use.
